About Our Parisian Sourdough Starter
This beautiful starter comes from a little boulangerie in Paris that has been baking and selling its sourdough since 1790. This starter was purchased through our trusted friends at J. Davenport's Famous Sourdough Starters.
According to them it has been traced back all the way to 1790 Paris. "It is light and sweet and handles a steamed crust beautifully. It doesn’t have the sourest flavor profile, but this makes it perfect for many desert breads as well as more standard loaves".
